The Silver Jubilee buses occasionally worked on routes that would not normally have seen that particular type of vehicle - as in this case. The 332 from Cardiff to Maerdy was (at that time) a crew operated double deck service, usually Atlanteans, but Cardiff depot sometimes turned out a Leyland PD2A/MCW Orion, and Porth depot could offer AEC Regent Vs, or even a Renown. Nationals were definitely rare, and a dual purpose version even more so.
